CFS e-News, March 2006
Dear Friends of CFS,

We’ve just received word that the Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) undergraduate program has earned accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA). Purdue’s first-ranked HTM program is one of only 32 in the nation that is ACPHA accredited.

This is a tremendous achievement and the result of much hard work by our HTM faculty and staff. The accreditation process requires three major efforts — a programmatic self-analysis, an evaluation by professional colleagues, and a review and decision by the accreditation commission. The accreditation covers the period from summer 2005 through winter 2012.

Accreditation not only assures the quality of the program but also assists in its improvement. The HTM program, already ranked first in the nation in two separate surveys, is using the accreditation process to continue to improve and to make the best even better for future generations of students. Congratulations to everyone in HTM!

Hail Purdue!
Dennis Savaiano

Dean
