CFS e-News, August 2005
Dear Friends of CFS,

This is a busy time of year as we prepare to welcome students to campus for the start of classes on August 22. But I would like to take a moment to welcome and introduce someone new ... Karen Zotz joined the college August 1 as our new program leader for CFS Extension.

Karen ZotzShe comes from North Dakota State University where she served as assistant director for Extension, associate dean of the College of Human Development and Education, and chair of the Center for 4-H Youth Development. Prior to joining the NDSU faculty in 1997, she had worked in Extension at the University of Illinois Champaign – Urbana since 1971.

She comes to Purdue with a wealth of experience in leadership and engagement. While at North Dakota, she led several Extension initiatives to enhance leadership development, communication with diverse audiences, and the creation of partnerships to maximize resources and address local and state issues.

We welcome her to Purdue and know that she will help us move toward our goal to improve the quality of life for individuals, families, and communities in Indiana and beyond.

Hail Purdue!

Dennis Savaiano
Dean
