Welcome to Purdue's Trademark and Licensing Website
Purdue University was founded in 1869. As traditions have evolved through the years, a number of different logos (symbols and designs) and verbiage (words, phrases, names, or groups of letters) have come to represent Purdue University and its many diverse entities. The Office of Trademarks and Licensing was established to control, protect, maintain, and promote these marks.
As a part of the Trademark and Licensing Office, the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) administers the license application process on behalf of the University. CLC also assists with legal and enforcement issues.
Licensed products benefit the University in many ways and contribute to the University’s general and athletic scholarship funds. The Office of Trademarks and Licensing encourages consumers to support Purdue University by purchasing licensed merchandise.
Whether you are a student, faculty member, fan, retailer, or licensee, this website will provide you with information about the trademark and licensing process and Purdue’s licensed products. It will also keep you up to date with the latest news from Purdue’s Office of Trademarks and Licensing.
