Online Marketing Resources/Custom Online Surveys

To better serve your Web audience, Purdue Marketing Communications utilizes a number of online resources to collect Web data. These resources include:

A Nation Online - http://www.ntia.doc.gov/ntiahome/dn/

NTIA and the Economics and Statistics Administration have published A Nation Online: How Americans Are Expanding Their Use Of The Internet. This report is based on the September 2001 U.S. Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey - a survey of approximately 57,000 households and more than 137,000 individuals across the United States. Purdue Marketing has put together a summary of this document for review, otherwise you may view the full document on the above link.

Measuring your Web site traffic and gathering results

Using the wrong technology and not making your site easy to navigate for an audience is one of the biggest downfalls on a Web site. To determine what technology (Flash, larger graphics/images, or dynamic data driven sites) as well as if your audience is finding what they need and are they finding the information you want to promote. On any existing Web site, or next generation of a Web site, you should gather statistics on your audience. What speed they are connecting, times of day, paths through the site...etc. Purdue Marketing Communications runs statistics on log files for our clients. This provides us with the information we need to effectively communicate with the audience(s).
